I have had PMR and GCA for 6 years.Not posted before but have

read all the posts .found out lots from this site.I am now on 10mg/5 mg on alternate days.I wonder if any one else has this

dosage on the site.?

You seem to have posted twice - I've already replied on the other thread. Here it is again:

It seems an unnecessary yoyo-ing of a dose that the body has to cope with but if it works, fair enough. Personally I'd want 1mg tablets so I could reduce in far smaller steps - and that is what most of us here do. I also know that Prof Dasgupta in the UK favours a much smaller variation from about 8mg down, telling patients to take 8/8/7 repeated for a month, progressing to 8/7/7 and finally 7/7/7.

Yes my stomach couldn't cope with uncoated pred. If you can possibly manage the 1mg uncoated then it makes the reductions much easier. I went from alternating a dose to the smaller dose on 2days followed by one day at the higher dose before eventually dropping to the lower dose all the time.I also alternated 10 and 7.5 not 10 and 5 so it was a more gradual reduction.
