It must be the time of year. Bending down last night to put a very reluctant Jack Russell over the french door step to go out into the garden last thing we somehow got tangled up together and the only way I could stop myself falling completely over the step and onto the dog was to put my weight on the leg with the fractured femur. For a few seconds I thought it had snapped like the other one....poor little dog, I threw up over her with the pain and then thought I would pass out. Very sore today and a bit scared, it has reminded me to be super careful as I was off the crutches for those few seconds. This getting older and more infirm lark isn't much fun and having always been so independent I am finding it hard not to be able to do all the things that have come naturally.
What more can I say.......in the words of "NYPD Blue........Let's be careful out there".

Oh Ida-June, I can just picture it!!!! You having to bath the dog whilst crying with pain. Sorry to laugh (I wouldn't if I'd have been there). I hope you have not done any serious damage and that you have gotten over the shock.
Has the dog forgiven you yet?
Please take care, and rest for a few days to recover.
