Thank you all so much for your encouraging and supportive replies, at least I know I am not alone, I have decided to try and be more self affirming when I see the GP and ask for that trial dose of Pred. I am so grateful for the information. Will keep you posted.

Good for you! The doctor I saw when I first started experiencing debilitating pain was useless. Saw her several times over the course of nearly a year. Fortunately she left the clinic and I saw another GP, who had my diagnosis within a week! Three months later I feel so well I have nearly forgotten what it was like. (Currently on 9-10 mg prednisone, down from 15. I walk every day - bought a pedometer and do my 10,000, including everyday mucking about - eat well, take my supplements, and try to get more rest than I used to.) Key thing is, it's your body, you know what you feel like, and the medical people should be there to help you. :)

Good for you ,take someone with you if you can help to have extra ears also make a list of points you want to address. Fine is a four letter word not to be use inside doctors office broken down it means

F =Fed up or any other f word

I=insecure

N= neurotic

E= emotional

pace myself. I know I am recuperating and am weakened but no major set back. I am thankful.
