Dannon Activia Bad Results

has anyone had problems with stomach and bowel movements I had 4oz. for three days.and now i have some bad digestive results.It has been three weeks and i am almost sure it is from the yogurt. thank you

I've never had Activia as I always have an organic plain 'live' (probiotic) yoghurt. Yoghurt is known to be good for lining the stomach with good bacteria, but perhaps you are allergic to something in the Dannone itself. One thing that has, however, caused problems with my bowel is the drinks recommended for lowering cholesterol, such as Flora Pro-Active - I guess I am allergic to the plant sterols.

Is there anything else you have taken in the last few days, perhaps another medication, such as the PPIs, Omeprazole and Lansoprazole - these caused bad stomach problems for me.

Hi 112567. I have always had Activia yogurts ..after Breakfast or after my evening meal .. I've never had any problems and I have to be careful as I do suffer with a sensitive stomach .. I mainly stay with Strawberry as the others do seem to have a different taste so maybe they have a different ingredient .I hope you feel better today. trish29

What medication are you taking? Although often gut side effects start soon after starting a medication it can take longer and appear for no apparent reason.

Activia yoghurts probably have all sorts of additives - as Celtic says an organic plain yoghurt has a minimum of additives compared with flavoured ones.
