Pred shakes !
It does usually settle down as the dose reduces. It is best to take all the pred in one go as you are as that achieves the best anti-inflammatory effect and is believed to minimise the side effects as it is the nearest to when the body makes its own corticosteroid, but in much lower quantities of course.
Is it all day? Some people find taking it as they go to bed confines the worst side effects to while they are asleep - but it may interfere more with your sleep though everyone is different.
I had what I called 'invisible' muscle shakes which I learned were from muscle weakness. I did find they got worse at the end of the day as I got tired, they weren't too bad in the mornings (unless I did something really tiring).
They did clear very quickly as the Pred dose reduced and I was able to begin using my muscles properly. I think exercise is key here. It really doesn't take much to wrap up and go for a half-hour walk or lie on the bed and do some stretches - every little helps if done on a regular basis.
Hi the wobbles do get better had then for the first few weeks started pred on 9 September 40mg down to 25 mg will go down to 22-5mg in new year.hang in there Olive
