Very bad head pressure
Dubliner1,
What do you mean by head pressure. Do you mean like a migraine type pain, or scalp being tender to the touch? If you ascertain what it is, you can decide how to progress.
Have you tried typing your exact symptoms into a medical symptom checker, similar to NHS or Patient uk website? They might be helpful. DorsetLady
No pain, just pressure across forehead.
Hi Dubliner1,
Thankfully that doesn't sound like anything related to GCA, which was what I was worried about. Could it be something as simple as eye strain? Suggest you speak to your surgery tomorrow if you still have it, just to put your mind at rest. Let us know how things go, and good luck. DorsetLady
Ask your doc to check your blood pressure or if you are reducing pred maybe it's slight withdrawal. Ask your doc. Hope you feel better soon.
I feel that when tapering Prednisilone, which I am currently doing. I've also recently started 10 mg Amytryptaline at night. So, it could be either of those, or the combination of the two. I was worried about it being GCA, but it's not on the temples and doesn't feel worse if I press it. In fact, that seems to relieve the pressure. I find ice packs help, as well as controlling the amount of time spent on computer . Hope that's helpful.
