Taking Pred on an empty stomach

I am going for a liver/gall bladder xray on Friday at 9.30 am., I can't have anything to eat 6 hours beforehand [ I can have water ] should I wait till after the x/ray before taking my Pred, ? I'm also wondering if I should take my blood pressure tablets.

You could phone and ask to be sure. I had a colonoscopy a couple of years ago and was told it was fine to take any tablets I needed that morning as long as it was only with water.

If you have bad mornings without pred, you could take your pred last thing at night - with the "last meal" I bet you'll have to keep you going next morning! One night won't hurt. Or you could take a bit extra on Thursday morning to tide you over until 10am on Friday. It really depends on how you are in the mornings! It is much the same as balancing the dose to cover international travel and the odd long or short day doesn't really make much difference.

Seems that I can take my meds. before I have the scan, so I have decided to take my b/pressure tablet before I go, and take a sandwich/drink with me, then take my Pred. soon after the scan. The scan is quite early at 9.30 am, and should only take half an hour, so I suppose it's not too long to wait for my Pred. just for one day.
