posted a couple of weeks ago about doctor thinking i had GCA. well she was wrong.

phoned my doctors and requested i be seen by someone else and they told me i had to go to hospital, they diagnosed me with chiari type 1 malformation, has anyone heard of this i tried to find a group for it but its come up with nothing. plus the symptons i have dont match the ones that the condition describes thanks x

I'm sorry to hear your diagnosis. How did they decide that that was what it is and what are they intending to do, if anything?

i'm being referred to a neurologist to review my brain scan and see what they are going to do, the doctor at the hospital didn't say a lot as she said she was busy and didn't even have time to come to the ward to explain it to me properly. but when i got home i googled it and it said the headache should be at base of skull but I've had a constant headache in my left temple since February and the co-codamol they prescribed doesn't even touch it.
