Can anyone tell me what the normal reading for a female Cortisol Blood Test should be please. I had mine taken last week and it was 5-16 mcg/dl. Can't fine very much info on the web.

"Normal Results

Normal values for a blood sample taken at 8 in the morning are 6 - 23 micrograms per deciliter (mcg/dL).

It depends on your local lab and how they measure it though as to what the normal range is - but what you have quoted there is a range. Did they do multiple blood samples? The time the blood sample is taken is also important - it varies through the day. As it says - ask your doctor.
