Having deep massage when you have PMR is not always the best thing. Before I was diagnosed I was so stiff and achy that I decided to have one. It was absolutely blissful at the time, but I was barely able to get out of bed for three days after as it just made my stiff muscles seize up completely.

Most of those in the know, including medics, usually suggest gentle massage and courses of pilates or yoga or other similar participation exercises. But if it works for you, then go for it, why not.

Similar to yourself 55grove I'm now at 10th month mark and on 4.5mg - started 20mg last May. I've been to rehab therapy and was introduced to Tai Chi and Hydrotherapy which I've continued on a weekly basis along with my daily exercises. I've now returned to work (Fire Officer), swimming up to 2km and running 5km Parkruns on a Saturday morning. "Invenium Viam aut Faciam" - I'll find a way or make a way. Good luck.
