Is there any danger if a tooth falls out naturally? I know extractions are best done in hospital if on AA etc, but one of my very loose teeth has fallen out.

The query has to be - why have you got (apparently several) loose teeth? It's something I would want to know - especially if they became loose since you started taking all this medication. Did you already have them? With AA the risk is less that the extraction itself is a problem but that the jaw may not heal afterwards. I'm not sure how that applies with a tooth that has loosened itself over a period of time as opposed to being torn out of its bed which is what happens with an extraction.

I did have loose teeth before onset of PMR and taking pred, AA etc. It's gum disease and I am expecting to have them all out soon. The one that fell out naturally has been very loose for some time. Am due to see dentist next week.

I had some teeth extracted last year by a dentist and was advised to rinse my mouth with warm water to which two teaspoons of salt had been added. I can't see this doing any harm until you get to the dentist.
