Have missed many of the "regulars" giving help and support

I would guess that the new format has taken a bit of getting used to. However, this regular has been sunning herself in Provence for three weeks. Now on the way home via sons' homes. Still having some shoulder pain and tendinitis. But soldiering on with 2 mg pred.

maybe it is the new format.... hope you are still feeling good after you holiday in the sun. I hope I also cope when I get to the lower doses - keep well !

Perhaps this nice weather has kept us outside and not on the computer!! and the sunshine makes a difference to how we feel, even if we are having some pain.

I must admit that I haven't been on this site much, mainly because of other ailments I now now have., apart from my GCA/PMR I now have Cronic kidney disease, so I have been on the CKD site to gather info from that, also waiting for a result from a kidney scan.

I also have a vitamin B12 deficiency, and a low platelet count, so been on the Pernicious Anemia site, and the B12d site, also to gather info from them.

No doubt that taking steroids for 14 years has taken it's toll, but not sure if they would cause kidney disease, and anemia,? something else I will have to look into.

I live in Suffolk and surrounded by fields of wheat/barley/corn. The farmers are working till dusk cutting them, and making the most of the dry weather. The only problem is I always feel that once the fields are cut, it's a sure sign that Autumn is on the way, so make the most of the weather.

Sometimes if you are stuck, there is another two forums you can go to for help. Patients Experience and pmrandgca.forumup.co.uk

Thanks I'll have a look. Your gentle reduction plan has worked for me so far - no ill effects from reducing for the last 2 months (hope it continues like that?)

Pleased to hear it is working for you - it has helped so many patients. Just be aware of how you feel all the time and if you feel a 'flare' hit it hard and fast. Perhaps when you get to a chance to visit the other forum you can read up on the Medication thread.
