When is the best time to take omprazamole to protect the stomache from the preds

Early morning at least 30mins before breakfast. I take lansoprazole which is similar and it is always the first pill of the day.

Agree with polkadotcom, early morning, although can be with or without food. You may want to check with GP or pharmacist to ensure best for any other medication you may be on. Dorset Lady.

Omeprazole an hour before breakfast; preds with breakfast.

I take all my tablets half way through my breakfast, omeprazole, levothyroxine, irbesartan, bendroflumethazide, prednisolone, codliver oil. My pharmasist told me this was alright and it does seem to be working for me, over two years now.

As it happens I double checked this very question with my GP on Friday. I take the omeprazole and other assorted meds when I get up, then I eat breakfast and then I take the pred. She says that is correct

my doctor advised me to take pednisone after breakfast and preferably with a glass of milk to prevent stomach prob.

this is working fine with me so far.
