Altered tastes

Have noticed that some foods don't taste the same any more, been on Pred for six weeks now, is this usual?

I've had this all along, Dovelady, but I hardly notice it now, you do get used to it. It's worse some days than others and I have had oral thrush too many times to count which is something to look out for.

However, I am also on a steroid inhaler which I think is partly to blame. Mention it to your doctor so that it goes on your records.

Thanks for that, I will mention it. Some things taste distinctly bland but resisting reaching for the salt as I believe it is a real no no. Seeing my lovely GP on Wednesday so will mention it then.

Same here, firstly everything was salty, I'm now moving between pizza and licorice tastes - luckily I don't mind any of them if only it could be the real thing!
