Hello! I am so happy to have found this group. When I tell Dr.’s that I collapse at 2-3 pm with fatigue, dizziness, pain and more every day... they say kidney’s don’t have nerve endings and you should feel no pain. I feel so much less alone after seeing that others feel the exact same way. I am not crazy. It’s not in my head. I’m hoping these two giant cysts being drained give me temporary relief!
Hugs to all of you who suffer,
M

I can completely agree with the fatigue, even more so after starting Tolvaptan 4 weeks ago, and I’m concerned I’m going to be sacked next week due to my tiredness due to working a mixture of 12 hour shifts x
I'm a production manager who has been through a lot if course regarding law in the workplace etc. Your place of work cannot sack you so I wouldnt worry about that. In fact your place of work SHOULD be doing more to help you. The first thing to do is sit down with your boss and explain your situation. He or she should then do a risk assessment based on your job and condition and evaluate situation. As you might already know mental health is not the number 1 cause of lost days at work and it's on the rise. Dean
I to have PKD with cysts measuring from tiny to 6cms I went through a time 3 years ago when I had unbearable pain then one day my son jumped on me burst a cyst i was in real for weeks then it slowly went a MRI scan showed evidence of a burst cyst and since then I have been virtually pain free Haha I'm not saying the best way to deal with pain is get the kids jumping on you I'm saying there is hope at the end of the day and things do improve even though we cant see it sometimes.
