Recently had a ultra sound & Transvaginal Scan, reading from my results it suggested that it may be a endometrial polyp and Towards the fundus of the endometrium there is a hypoechoic area measuring 6.3 mm. Does anyone know any Information on them? Never really heard much about it until now, is there anything I need to know or ask my doctor when they call back?

hi Lauren, I had a womb polyp, had a scan like yourself, they will probably want to take it away , mine was cancerous and I was 60 so no probs, had a small bleed so that’s what triggered the appointment.

hello, the doctor said it could be a a polyp or a blood clot, but because of my age and how tiny is it’s apparently are not affecting anything. they also sent me for ovulation and other blood tests and all come back fine. I’ve received today a letter to go see my local gynaecologist, but the letter hasn’t really said what I’ve got to do so not sure if it’s just a chat or if there is any examinations going on through the appointment.

Hi Lauren233 hope you’re well. I’m keen to know how you got on?? I now gave the same and am due to have treatment abroad next week, which is likely to now get cancelled.

hello, sorry for late reply, I got on really well. She didn’t need to exam as she had everything already prepared and printed off for me and I said I have a polyp causing the constant bleeding and said I would need an operation to get it removed, so I’m now waiting for a date for that! 😃
