Pudendal nerve pain.

I’m suffering again with pelvic nerve pain again after straining with a bowel movement. This started after a LIS surgery for a chronic fissure. I’m a competitive cyclist and now I am no longer able to sit on my bike due to the pain.

I had those symptoms. Turned out to be Levator Ani. That muscle up higher is in a constant spasm. Thank God I don’t have the feeling when I sleep. Getting ready to try Botox in a couple of weeks. Can not sit, stand for very. Just my personal experience. Have had it for 5yrs! I hope this is not it. It takes you normal life away.

Thanks for your response and I wish you well on your recovery. I had two Botox treatments for a chronic anal fissure. Since I returned too soon after the procedures to riding my bike, the Botox was not helpful. Otherwise, Botox is helpful to many patients, although there is some pain afterwards at the injection site, due to the large needles that are used to inject the medication. Sorry, I don't mean to scare you, just informing you of what I experienced.

I've seen on the pudental nerve and levator ani support groups people can still ride bikes and have these issues can get a twin saddle with an opening down the middle which may be helpful so they can still ride ...you can order them on Amazon... there are two seats for each cheek and no pressure touches the rectal anal perennial or testicular area

Thank you for the support. My issue arises from a chronic anal fissure that I suffer from. Of course, I am responsible for the pain as I continue to ride a bike and not use enough Dulcolax as a stool softener, resulting in painful bowel movements.
