From what I gather its an MRI with contrast agent (most commonly used) which can be injected intravenously to enhance and improve picture quality. I have had a few MRI's and depending on what the doctors are 'imaging' determines how long you will be in scanner. MRI can be very noisy but staff can give you headphones to combat this, some departments even play music. I was in constant contact with staff throughout and they really put you at ease. If you are having concerns it might be beneficial to get further into from doctor or imaging staff.

hope all goes well for you.
