I have interstitial cystitis/ pelvic ... - Pelvic Pain Suppo...
I have interstitial cystitis/ pelvic floor dysfunction. I used to get Utis growing up but now I've had chronic main with no bacteria.
See a urogynocologist and a physiotherapist specializing in pelvic floor dysfunction.
Hi there
i know how awful this feels, you poor thing. The best thing to do is to find a really good urogynaecologist who can help advise you. Also, some people find that certain types of manipulation of the area helps, such as gentle physiotherapy or gentle massage. Also. it sounds weird but i sleep with a pillow under my knees when i can, and this sometimes eass the pressure off the pelvic area (for me anyway, i may be weird!)
xx
Please read my reply in th post around half an hour ago, you may find it help. Get those muscles relaxed firstly, try baclofen.
Cvwaimrin I really understand the pain you are going through, its hell like nothing on earth, I started 5years ago with what I thought was a uti, antibiotics didn't clear it up and I was in so much pain, eventually after 5/6 attacks in the space of 3 months,my Dr prescribed amitriptiline, it caused a few side effects but nothing compared to the pain. They took a while to kick in approx 2 weeks but then total relief no pain, initially I was on 25mg went upto 75mg at it's worst and now on 10mg. I really hope this helps you. X
Lord I WISH I had a solution for u,u can read what I'm doing in my letter that I wrote about me,its so hard to deal with,I know.... Mine hurt to walk lots of luck and prayers try trigger point injections in the vagina muscles and pelvic therapy after that.u can c what I've done in my profile.
