Increase dosage of Lisinopril

I am taking 10mg of Lisinopril for 4 years although my blood pressure reduced from 180+ it reduced it to 130/90. It is now risen to 145/98 recently. In this 2 year period of time I have gained weight 20lbs with no diet change. I tried Dry January this year this had no effect on my blood pressure or weight.

Increasing my tablets is an option is there an increased weight issue, health risk or side effects in doing so?

My first suggestion is to make sure you are having your kidney function tested every time you get lab work done for the liver. That might include (here in the states anyway) a CMP - comprehensive profile. Over time the Losinopril can,in some cases, cause some problems with the kidneys. That may be one explanation for the weight gain. Have this conversation with whomever is prescribing it. Watch the salt intake and salty food. I am always surprised by how much salt common foods has in it.
