Hi Ellanvannin

Write all your symptoms and other illnesses (PBC etc) down on paper as you think of them now, ... guaranteed on the day you'll forget something stressed or not. Take someone with you for support and to act as your ears.

However weird you may think your symptoms are it is worth mentioning them. The rheumatologist may very well have heard of them before and it may make it easier for him/her to come to a diagnosis.

Good luck and best wishes....you'll be fine so try not to worry too much!!

Thanks for your advice. I recieved a letter today cancelling my appointment until Dec. 10th. Very annoying as I have waited 16 months to get one.

Would you believe it!!. How annoying, and you've been working yourself up for this appointment. Unfortunately you can't do anything about it now so try not to stress yourself out even more by worrying. Never mind you'll have a little more time to think what questions you want answering...write them down on your list with your symptoms. You'll be surprised how quickly the 3 weeks will go by especially with preparations for the run up to Christmas.

Take care of yourself and good luck for the 10th Dec.

Thanks. It is good to know that there is support out there. Today I need it. With my appointment being cancelled and my husband having to go to Aintree hospital in Liverpool to the eye clinic for a check up. He gets picked up at 5.30 a.m.and will not get home until 6.45 p.m. tonight (If the plane is on time)

Thanks Cheryl

My husband Vinty is home safe and his appointment went well. Does not have to go back to Liverpool for 4 months. Did not need an injection in his eye and does not have to go back for 4 months which is great news. He says the Drs/nurses at Aintree are very good.

God Bless

Take care

Jill

I agree write it all down then the rheumy can have a copy. They will examine you and order lots of bloods then a follow up appointment. That seems to be the usual proceedure.
