I have been diagnosed with Lichen Planopilaris, another autoimmune disease and related to lichen planus. I have lost most of my hair. Worth getting it checked by a dermatologist.

Absolutely it needs to be checked by a derm doctor. When I was first diagnosed I had all these reddened and itchy bumps on my legs. The derm doc took one look at my legs and said " you have a liver disease'. For me it was an ongoing condition that I tried several lotions and creams Getting something from the doc might be more helpful. We have to explore all of our options, don't we? There are shampoos for thickening your hair. You might ask the dermatologist about that as well.

Yes lichen planus can affect your skin. I was diagnosed with it by a dermatologist several years ago and given some steroid cream to use. It cleared it up but I occasionally get flare ups. Worth seeing a dermatologist.

Thanks, Bunter, I actually have an appointment with my GP today, so i will talk to him about it. I’m sure he will recognize it.
