Small thickening of white of my eye happened overnight

Get an ophthalmologist to check it...don’t mess with the eyes. Insist on an appointment right away.

I saw flashes and waited 3 weeks, thinking they would go away before I called late Sept for an appointment. The staff was going to give me a Nov appointment. I insisted I needed to be seen sooner & got an appointment for the following week.

My ophthalmologist told me I should not have waited 3 weeks. Anytime, there are changes in the eyes, to insist on seeing him right away. And be pushy to get a quick appointment even if they tell me nothing is available.

It may be something trivial, it may just go away on it's own, lots of things do. But do see someone who knows so you know for sure. Let us know how you get on xx

Is this white thickening on your eye ball or on your eye lid?

If it's on your eye lid or around the eye area it might be something called Xanthelasma. (Google images will give you an idea what these look like).

If it's on your eye ball then definitely get an optometrist to have a look.
