My friend told me about this. She doesn't have any liver issues, but is starting to maintain a better lifestyle. She juices and drinks it. It doesn't hurt to drink celery juice. It is good for you, but will have to do more research on its benefits to the liver.

I did it for a month. Made my bowels regular, lowered my blood pressure where I no longer need meds BUT liver enzymes were elevated last blood test. Not horribly, but ALT, AST and ALK phos all elevated :(

Are you on urso? Or were you trying to lower the LFT’s via celery juice?

I am on URSO)

was just thinking about additional options.

Eating very healthy always, even taking Lysine), as mentioned in this book..as had herpes simplex always, but the got it under control using Lysine

But..not sure about Celery juice..is it good or bad for us, taking in consideration damaged bile ducts..i hope maybe somebody will have some ideas about it..very interesting just to try)

I am a bit skeptical about his claims as a Medical Medium. I only trust my doctor.

Good! I am skeptical about all the claims. It is okay to have vegetables & juicing, but not in lieu of urso, proven effective for pbc.

I agree with ninjagirlwebb and only want to add that eating the whole stick of celery may be a better option - a toxin can be just something we had too much of. In its natural form it's far less likely that you'll overdose on celery. Juicing and smoothies may not be good total substitutes for eating whole foods unless a doctor prescribes it for you on the basis of your proven individual need?

Hi everyone. I tried juicing celery for over a month to lower liver enzymes. I drank about 8 oz. daily. Some interesting bowel expulsions that month. Figure the juice was releasing some old gunk. After that month, I have my LFT's and there was about a 40 point drop in ALP, but everything else stayed the same. I cannot take URSO. I do not know if the drop in my ALP was from the celery juice or just random, as mine fluctuate frequently. My largest reduction in #'s ever was when I used Dr. Schultz Incurable Disease Program. Lots of juicing, teas, liver flush drinks, tinctures, no solids for a month....plus dry brushing and hot/cold showers, plus his famous detox bath....grueling, but effective. Problem is that I cannot live on this regime forever!

Very interesting!

I've never heard about it

Yes, of course, liquid diet is the best for liver, but you can't live on that((
