Has anyone had a transjugular liver biopsy? I am scheduled for one next week and am very nervous about it

Hi. Yes I had one a couple of years ago. I didn’t realise it was going to be transjugular until just beforehand. It sent me into a bit of a spin. I wasn’t sure of the reason so panicked a bit. I had good sedation so the procedure was absolutely fine. Did they explain reason for trans jugular. Good luck and don’t worry. Just ensure they give you plenty of sedation.

Yes. Had one a few months ago. I didn't feel a thing and when I opened my eyes the procedure was over. I had no pain and no discomfort during or after. Just felt tired and came home and rested.
