Hi. Welcome.

pbcfoundation.org.uk

If you go to the pbc foundation webite and join you will find up to date, accurate and easy to understand information. It is free to join and it does not matter which country you are in.

Google is not a good place to go to learn about pbc.

The name has been changed to primary billiary Cholangitis as most people who have it do not progress to cirrosis.

If you have questions please ask in this support group. We all are willing to help. Bear in mind we are not doctors just people who have pbc or relatives.

I see you have been diagnosed with PBC. I noticed your earlier post after i had written this reply.

PBC is slow to progress and most people die WITH it not OF it. Once you begin to understand it, it won't seem half as bad. I noticed you said you don't have symptoms. That's a good start.

Autoimmune diseases are tricky things. There's no Rhyme or Reason to it. Try to build up your immune system. Stick to liver Friendly Foods and stay away from foods that are bad for the liver. You can Google these to get that information. You might also Google the leaky gut theory about how autoimmune disease begins. I believe that once an autoimmune disease starts, it finds a weak spot in our bodies and I guess for us it's just our livers.
