Keeping Fit

I realise I'm lucky as I read so many posts on here from people who are really suffering. I don't itch and apart from feeling tired and joint pain I'm generally well. I just wanted to share that I've had such a good weekend! I started an eight week boot camp! The first session was really hard yesterday but I held my own with healthy 30 and 40 year olds (I'm 60 next year). I think these positive things are good to share as there are many people newly diagnosed who may think it's all doom and gloom. Feeling positive x

I agree with you about also sharing the good news.

Good For you!! That's awesome. I probably could not keep up with you. lol I'll be 41 tomorrow actually.

I walk everday, 3.5 - 5 miles. I am at the mercy of the moods of a 3 month old baby so if he needs to be home, I cut my walk short and try to pick up some more later in the day.

I want to take Yoga, Pilates and a spin class but I can't bear to leave my baby yet so maybe when he's a bit older. I did order myself and exercise bike online a couple hours ago so I can follow along with a video or whatever I can find online because getting as fit as I can now is one of my main goals. Then if dark days are coming, I'll be in a better place to handle it.

I hope the rest of your boot camp goes well.

Thanks. I understand about making the most of your 'baby time', they grow so quickly. I do yoga too, it's gentle and helps to keep you supple x

Jules-S,

Most Excellent!! Good to do all we can at any stage. For you it was this wonderful achievement 🙌🙌🙌. Maybe for others it's getting a good walk in, or spending some quality time with ones kids or family. Still for others it may be smaller goals yet.❤❤

I took my dogs out tonight and let them go nuts running the yard while I walked. Beautiful evening in Kansas. 72 degrees. 😍

Hope all had a nice weekend. Prayers for us all.

Thanks for the encouragement Jules-S.

Stella ❤

Thank you. Exactly! It's what you can do as an individual, we're all at different stages x

Hi Jules. Love the energy! I've just started with a Personal Trainer twice a week to try and generate more energy by expending some (of my limited stock due to PBC!). Tough going but it'll be worth it in the end... even contemplating a Zumba class on top... but maybe next week. I used to do BritMilFit classes before work - a great workout if you have them in your area, but they're not cheap. I'm 57 so coming hard on your heals.... Enjoy your sessions and according to my PT he has lots of younger folk who aren't able to do some of what I can... so that's also good for the soul/ego. Have fun. Adele
