Intercept is reminding physicians about the proper use of Ocaliva in people with PBC with advanced cirrhosis. As part of its standard monitoring, the company uncovered cases where PBC patients with advanced cirrhosis received doses of Ocaliva that are inconsistent with the recommendations made by the FDA. If you are being treated with Ocaliva and have advanced cirrhosis, it’s important that you talk to your doctor to confirm you are being treated in accordance with the U.S. prescribing information.
Best,
Carolyn
