These are important issues to discuss with your Gastroenterologist. When he gives you diagnosis in can help. For on your liver may be a thing up. Take liver support pills and anti-inflammatories such as turmeric.

If your stools have suddenly changed colour I think you should call your gastro. You could also ask your GP to do blood tests for you asap so they can check if any of the LFTs have changed since your last test - then you could tell your gastro what those test say. Hope you feel better soon.

If you are in the UK I would phone the out-of-hours GP service and talk to someone, now. If you are not in the Uk, then do whatever is the equivalent for immediate advice. I honestly don't know how serious the pale stools are, so I don't mean to alarm you, I'm just saying that if this was me ... I would want some immediate, qualified, proven, proper medical advice and quick, otherwise I'd just be stressing for hours.

I hope all is okay, let us know how you get on.

Hello mags_larkhall.

Pale stools are a sympton of PBC. Mine started looking rather pale back in the early days of PBC but since being on urso more normal. Urine can go dark with PBC but as yet I've not got any issues there. (I was diagnosed with PBC Dec 2010.)

You can also apaprently experience upper qaudrant pain with PBC similar to what you are mentioning you are experiencing. Not sure about the legs aching though.

Have you been diagnosed with PBC as yet?

If you are seriously worried about it, it would be wise to seek advice from a medic.

Hi..This is wise advice to see a doctor. Reluctanly after a bit of suffering I saw a doctor and was very soon seeing a consultant, this led to a liver transplant in June 2013. Fortunately I live not far away from a world class hospital where the transplant took place. No matter how small an ache or pain is find the time to seek help, It just may save your life . Good luck

Talk to your dr. Pale stools can mean a heap of things from lactose intolerance to gut bug. I had liver pain until I stopped eating gluten and a few other foods that I noticed were causing pain like chilli and almonds. Apparently there are many nerves around your liver and if it gets inflamed and swells the nerves are activated causing the pain
