Mitochondrial antibodies (M2) are particularly indicative of PBC.

Hi there my doctor told me that on me they did Ama test if its positive they then do m2 because m2 is even more of an indicator I have had about 9 m2 tests all positive but mine are currently at 25 which is right on the positive number but other tests have been 50 75 100 so the numbers change but alll are positive I googled m2 so you could try that also ask your doc to do Igm test that did this on me and it was also positive take care x

I have tested positive twice,, after 10 months of worry every scan imaginable, biopsy etc ,they have told me its still impossible to confirm. I have no damage to bile ducts. I do have some liver fibrosis , they are just going to monitor me. I have lots of symptoms for PBC however test have thrown up other findings. my underactive thyroid is now overative and am waiting to see a specialist for something going on in my lungs

Also found out I was anemic, low folic, and several other vitamins difficient.

I dont drink as I my body cannot tolerate alchol. have a very healthy diet .

If I get PBC full on in the future or not I will contine to support those who have this often crippling condition

.I have read so many of the bloggs and really feel for all the people useing this site it help me enormously when I wasnt sure what was going on .

Sorry to ramble on here im not sure what im trying to say just good other than you can teat positive and not have the complaint Good Luck x
