I was diagnosed with PBC 2years ago. Liver biopsy confirmed it. I'm happy to see I'm not alone. I have no symptoms yet. I'm located in Southern California USA.

Hi Mimigal,
I was diagnosed just over a year ago and currently like you have no symptoms. Have you changed your diet or lifestyle at all since being diagnosed? Mel
Hi to you both, I am quite newly diagnosed, and don't suffer fromthe awful symptons some people do, the one thing that does bother me is that I get some very loose bowel movements. Not a nice subject I know. It's usualy in the morning, but sometimes later in the day, and rather a worry. i've got now that i won't go to any meetings etc until after 10a.m, and I'm always thinking is there a loo nearby. This has been a problem for a while, but I think its worse since I started the urso, but can't be sure. If its really a worry, or I have to be somewhere before 10a.m I take anti diarhoea tablets, but I'm not sure thats a good idea. I'm seeing the consultant later today so will ask him.
Hello there. Since being diagnosed I've been given iron tablets.
Am I the only person to find extra iron plays a nightmare in your digestion.
Hi! No you're not alone in have digestion trouble when taking I iron tablets. I have been having the same nightmare ever since starting to take these almost 10 years ago. Last year I had an iron infusion and things got much worse for a while but have since settled down. My Consultant tells me that the time to worry is if the symptoms stop.
hello
I had joint pains for a few months, when they did the autoinmune tests, positive for ana and ama, itching for a while, liver and lever test quite normal, gastroeneterologist says no need to liver biopsy, wondering whether it might be worth doing the liver biopsy, it is already 1 year since.
And what about urso, worthwhile asking about it.
thanks
