Note to self: check temperature forecasts when ordering B12 on line.

I ordered a large shipment of B12 two weeks ago - only to watch online as it was being despatched and shipped in the middle of a heatwave .40 degrees Celsius at the warehouse, 30 degrees when left on my doorstep, packed in a flimsy cardboard carton, with no advice to the courier to protect from the heat.

Well, did I have a rotten week! Cold turkey isn't fun! I was injecting it but it wasn't doing anything. ( PlatypusProfit8077 I think I sound like an addict!) I think I have proved that I really do depend on those doses being effective to function at any level.

The good news is that the warehouse has admitted their fault (on advice from the manufacturer) in sending it out in the heat and are replacing the entire shipment, sending it in a cooler box this time. 😎

Yes that wasn’t good . Great that you got it replaced . We don’t have that problem in the UK very often !

What a nightmare! I'm glad that they sorted it out for you. Even though UK weather is pretty moderate, we do have hot spells on occasion, so I try to order in the Spring and/or Autumn just in case.

I hope the new batch will prove more effective for you. 🤞

I have (accidentally) "cooked" ampoules in my car at similar temperatures to yours, and found that they are still just as effective, even though I was expecting them not to be.

I know UV light does affect them more, however.

It will be interesting to see how you get on with the new ones. Please let us know!

We estimate that it would have been as hot as 60 degrees on the truck, and it was 24 hours in transit. I am encouraged by your experience- I won't fret so much on warm road trips now.

Oh my goodness - that's unreal! Thank you for your reply!

In temporate England I struggle to cope above 30°C and can only remember a couple of days about 40 a few years ago.

B12 and other vitamins and minerals play a significant role in thermoregulation so we are more compromised than most, and I know I'm much better now, with full treatment, than I was in my deficient days ten years ago.

Good luck!

Oh goodness that would’ve been awful. I ordered at the start of our Aussie spring to avoid this problem entirely. My box is in the fridge as well - last weekend (mid-March!!!) got to a blistering 42° and it was still mid-30’s at 9pm. I was not a happy camper.

Us addicts have to stick together 🤪

Oh dear - you have had it very hot, too! We live so far south we are in our own little mild weather bubble - we forget that the heat elsewhere can impact us! I have learned my lesson now.

I always forget you’re an Aussie, so used to talking to Brits on here 🤪

We’re in Wagga so quite regional and hot (but also freezing in winter with the Snowies nearby)

Where I am in Albany is notorious for having 'four seasons in one day' all year round. Usually a day of extreme heat is followed by mid winter conditions, although we rarely experience the extreme temperatures that the rest of Australia gets.

Yep, mine came on a freezing day, glass vials wrapped in some bubble wrap in a plastic bag! WTH??? Had a FRAGILE sticker on it, but who would believe it? If it were truly fragile, it wouldn't be in a plastic frickken bag.

Go figure! Fortunately their little packets are quite robust!

The new order arrived - in a very sturdy carton, lined with recyclable wool insulation. The boxes were packed in foil bags surrounded by ice packs that had melted but were still quite cool after 2 days in transit. I am confident in this batch being good to go!
