I believe I would benefit from B-12 Injections.
How do I express this to my family Dr.?

You can only get B12 injections if you are deficient in Vitamin B12,Have you had a blood test that shows B12 deficiency ? . Do you have symptoms of B12,deficiency? ( look them up ) Also look up causes of B12 deficiency .
It’s just not enough for you to think that you might benefit from injections . There must be that definite medical reason for injections .from your doctor . They can be acquired privately at beaty clinics and some hairdressers without a medical reason , but at a high cost .
Best wishes .
Get a blood test for your B12 levels. It is important to not take supplements for awhile before the test.
The founder of PAS has published an excellent book about B12 deficiency / pernicious Anaemia Available from Amazon . ( Martyn Hooper)
.
B12 is not included on 'full bloods ' It's usually done with folate .
If you suspect a deficiency due to symptoms do ask yoor G.p for it to be done .
You will at least then have a level for your reference .
The G.p will use a serum B12 test.
Get Iron ,vit D and ferritin tested if you can .
Symptone dictate.
Most G.ps will want to use NHS robust labs. and can often only prescribe from 'in house ' testing.
As already mentioned don't supplement before blood test .
You should also be asked about your diet .Red meat
Eggs
Shell fish
Diary ard rich sources of B12.
If you are on another diet .
Or vegan you may well need B12 supplements..
Do get tested
Prevention much better .
I've been trying to get B12 on the agenda to be included on G.ps list to tick for bloods!
An absorbtiin problem mostly needs b12 injections .
Scientist, not medic.
You don't say why you believe that B12 injections would help you. That would be a good starting point. If you need them then a prescription from a doctor based on sound reasoning is one way forward.
Using Beauty Clinics [aka Ugly Clinics] for B12 injections isn't something I'd recommend, but they have to make a living, don't they?
There are times when I feel that a stiff G&T would help me, but I can't get that on prescription.😜

Pernicious anaemia is an autoimmune condition that can lead to b12 deficiency.
Another autoimmune condition that can lead to b12 deficiency is coeliac disease.

B12info.com
Lots of info on b12 deficiency and an interesting blog.
The B12info.com website has a section on what to do next if you suspect B12 deficiency.
B12d.org
They organise online talks about b12 deficiency and have monthly coffee mornings near Durham.
The B12 Society
Has useful lists of symptoms and causes.
GUTS UK has lots of info on gut conditions
I'm not medically trained.
GP's In the UK will only prescribe b12 for 3 month intevals. I would like monthy but they will not allow it!
Have you considered self injecting B12 . If you want to think about it, I will send you information. It is safe , easy and cheap ( about £2.00 , everything included b12 ampoule , needles , syringes and swabs . ( Members on this forum are all forced to self inject if GPs won’t prescribe often enough to keep symptoms at bay )
Let me know if you wish to consider self injecting
Best wishes ,
