Private Neurologist who does Virtual First Consultations - URGENT

Hi All

A member of the forum is extremely unwell and a private neurologist to whom she was referred does not do initial virtual consultations ... although they do undertake telephone consultations! Complete madness!

As our colleague is too unwell to travel and is too unwell to use the phone so needs assistance from a carer - a virtual consultation is what is needed urgently. Can anyone provide names of a private neurologist who will do virtual consultations for a first appointment?

Please private message me with details.

Thanks in advance for your help in this mad, mad world we live in.

are they in the UK? I know most of you are but just thought I’d check.

My neuro was insistent on an in-person first appointment despite the 5hr drive so as to vigorously test reflexes etc himself. I don’t know that you’ll find someone who would forego that initial exam.

Unless you found someone medical (nurse friend?) who could act as an intermediary? Test that reflex while neuro is watching on screen? Very tricky

Hi PP

Thanks for replying.

Yes our colleague is based in the UK.

The irony is the private neuro will do an initial telephone consultation but not a video consultation! That’s the stupidity of the situation!

She will need to have her carer with her during the consultation for support.

Good morning, there is a private Dr (UK) who is a specialist in B12 & Iron who will do a virtual consultation Please message me privately if you would like details? He is not a neurologist however.

I don't think he's a neurologist. I think you're talking about Dr K? He's an anesthesiologist and he's only an iron specialist. He just talks about B12 also.

Hi Elle

Our colleague has had treatment from the private B12 specialist in Cambridge.
