Hi.. I'm hoping for some info & help I can give to my son.. he's nearly 31 & just been diagnosed with hypothyroidism...his tsh was 130. His doctor has told him to start on 75mg of levothyroxine after he had a bad reaction to some other medication he first prescribed....does 75mg sound too much to start on? I thought 50mg was a starter & then go up in 25mg increments? Many thanks for any help...

I can appreciate your concern for your son but you would be better off putting your post on Thyroid UK where you will receive advice. This forum is for Pernicious Anaemia. Click on my hub at the top right of the page and scroll down to Thyroid Uk.
