Can anyone inform me as to all the necessary cofactors and dosages that need to be taken to ensure Vitamin b12 injections work. I have the MTHFR gene and slow COMT so is folic acid a bad idea?

Necessary cofactors and dosages for Vitamin b12 injections to work
It's common to get low in vitamin D ,folate ,ferritin and sometimes iron.
Go by your blood tests.
Then supplement if needed .
I still take a supermarket multuvit alternating with s branded one
Both have 'sensible ' amounts.
No mega doses .
I found it just took time with regular b12 injections to start to reduce symptoms.
I have 2 of 3 COMT mutations. I take methyl folate, which I understand is easier to metabolize. It works very well for me. I'm only taking 400 mcg every other day. It has allowed me to extend the time between B-12 shots. I'm also taking a B complex daily. Pure Encapsulations brand: B-Complex Plus. I've experimented with how much folate to take, listening to my body when I needed to cut back. Negative symptoms were feeling increased pressure behind my eyes, and 'hyper' ness. Good luck!
