Ringing in the ear

Positive for IFA. I’m been on weekly cyanocobalamin shots for three months. While the tingling in my feet has gotten slightly less, the ringing in my ears seems to be getting worse. Anyone else experiencing this?

Yes my tinnitus started when b12 injections began. I called it the b12 buzz.

Is the ringing constant and consistent?

I woke up with tinnitus one day before my diagnosis and its never gone away, even with frequent injections! It gets much louder when I'm tired or out of sorts.

Hi ReallyWondering

Like Nackapan my tinitus began when I started B12 and remains to this day.

Like topazrat I find the tinnitus gets louder (in one or both ears) when I am physically overtired.

It’s a good sign that healing is happening I am advised!

When I switched to daily in Oct it got really loud. It made me wonder if I just stopped hearing it. I’m post concussion since Aug 2020 and it got loud then after hitting my head. Thankfully I can sleep through it but it’s annoying. Never had it so loud. Wonder myself if it will go away.

The ringing in my ears built over about 5 years and before the PA/B12D diagnosis. It's continued with B12 EOD. It is worse when I'm stressed, which can be caused by just about anything, physical or mental.

I have suffered with tinnitus for many years which drives me to distraction especially at night. I find some nice relaxing music on my mobile which I place on my ear at night.

Before I know it I am sending the 💤 home. 🛌 😴

I have tinnitus, started after I had my second cholesteatoma removed in 2000. I used to walk the streets because the traffic helped to mask it, or stand in the kitchen with the kettle boiling on repeat. I had to go to the hospital for a check up and said that it was driving me mad and was sent to Cognitive thought therapy, a 6 week class with others suffering the same. By week 3 i realised that I had not noticed it for a while and it just became better after that. It is still there but i can ignore it, you are trained to think differently about it, it worked ! I admit that when I am tired it is louder but the CTT makes it ok. It is good for anyone struggling because I remember it was traumatic trying to cope.

As a teenager I underwent an eardrum repair and had to have balance retraining. I am going back many years and this sort of surgery was relativly new. It was in later years I developed the tinnitus for which I was given a device to help block out the noise. ( it didn't work )

When I became B12 deficient the ear noises became much worse. I now stick head phones into my mobile and drown out the noises. There is plently of helpful stuff on Utube.

I don't have tinnitus. Been injecting daily for 3 years. Sounds horrible. I hope you all find a solution!.
