self Injecting Materials

I am just starting to investigate self injections. What is the dose one receives from a doctor’s surgery and where would one purchase the syringes from and is it worth paying for the training to self inject?

How does one trust the website one is purchasing B12 from?

Thank you.

Order syringes, sub-cutaneous needles and draw-up needles online from medisave. Look on utube for instructions for self-injecting. There is one post from a GP practice! All the German apotheke that you'll find on the forum are reputable.

I use Apohealth online and buy Pascoe Hydroxocobalamin Depot. You can buy 10 or 100.

Thanks for your reply, very helpful. Are subcutaneous needles the same as muscle injection needles?

The b12 injections given at the surgery use s blue 23G 1" needle an intramuscular injection. Some use a finer needle

Subcutaneous injection needles ard alot shorter as only go into the fat layer of your body .

Its not licensed in the UK but clearly states sc on the German b12 boxes. .

I use a 30 G needle 1/2 " long.

For SC

Thr usual dose given 1mg/1ml hydroxcobalamin given at UK surgeries IM.

Single use ampoules are recommended

A 21G needle can be used to draw up thd b12

Then change it to inject.

Hope that helps

No, they are mercifully smaller (about half an inch) and a lot finer.

Thank you again for the replies. Just for clarity (for myself 😵‍💫), I am looking to inject into the muscle, I presume that would be the one inch needle? Sorry to ask for confirmation but not ever done this before. 😳

Yes a deeper injection into the muscle as stated on my earlier reply

I see it more clearly now, thank you. I got a little confused with the further mention of sub-cutaneous etc. Thanks again for helping to clear that up. 🙂
