I do a lot of work with what I associate with past experiences. It is hard for me and just accomplishing a task now that was horrible in the past does not meet my needs.

When released from the hospital my muscles were wasting and I was losing weight. I could not always eat as I choked on food. The medical solution was to have a video conference in two months with a nutritionist.

I was experiencing extreme brain fog and pain. I at first was only able to drink nutritional shakes and it was very hard to get to the store and buy them.

I then was able with much effort to buy the ingredients and make a smoothie. Guessing over two weeks of effort.

So with my increase in folic acid from 1.2 mg to 2.4 mg my being hungry changed and it now made sense to start my day with a smoothie. I had to process and grieve what I went through all the while associating and expecting it all to be a horror. Just forcing myself to buy the ingredients and make a shake would not make a change and likely would not be long lasting.

So I have had my smoothie and it was delicious due to my taste coming back from the increase in folic acid.

Thank you for letting me share and being there.

Sorry to read you had to experience that and being physically ill does impact our emotional health. It is only natural to process and grieve for ourselves.

It is pleasing to know that folic acid and smoothies are beneficial and even your sense of taste is back. There are some wonderful tasting foods which can be put in a smoothie.

Best wishes 🐳
