To all of us, Rex

Sunshiny Days

-

From pernicious anemia's cold embrace,

we emerged, as warriors, finding grace.

In the depths of shadowed, endless night,

We discovered strength, we found the light.

-

The silent thief that drained our life away,

Could not extinguish hope's eternal ray.

With iron will and courage unconfined,

We fought to heal both body and mind.

-

The weakness and fatigue that once held sway,

Now yield to sunshiny, hopeful day.

With treatments and with time, we mend our core,

Rebuilding strength, we stand tall once more.

-

though the brain fog lingers, dense and deep,

We'll find a way through the secrets it keeps.

With patience and persistence, we will reclaim,

The clarity and focus, as the fog's grip wanes.

-

Like a phoenix rising from the ashes' fall,

We rediscover life, we heed the call.

In each new dawn, we find a reason to smile,

Reveling in life's beauty, mile by mile.

-

The sunshiny days ahead, they shine so bright,

A world of vibrant colors, pure delight.

With gratitude, we embrace the golden light,

Our spirit soars, taking healing's flight.

-

No longer bound by anemia's chain,

We cherish life, its joy, and its pain.

With newfound vigor, We'll forever be,

A testament to strength and to victory.

-

So let the past's trials slowly fade away,

As sunshiny days illuminate our way.

Let's treasure each moment, each chance to thrive,

In this precious life, we're truly alive.

Thank you wedgewood that is so kind of you. A thought occurred to me...why not make this collaborative. So I've edited my post for others to reply with suggested stanzas. Then maybe we present to PAS. Just a silly thought.

It’s not a silly thought ! It’s a very good thought . It would be good publicity ! The general public needs informing and it is a catchy way to do it ! Brings home the message in an informative and non-aggressive way . Clever !

For the poet played with words and reason,

For each and every person,

On this journey to recovery.

Some completely unaware of the discovery,

That many have walked this road,

And slowly managed to unload,

The weight that we once did carry,

For, none of us here are that ordinary,

We staggered, walked and then have soared.

So, every single one shall be encored.

Aww Ghound. My only claimed talent is I'm alive. 😊You, by virtue of the fact that you are on this forum have talent.

You have a talent of perseverance and fortitude. You're the warrior mentioned in this poem. The one in the arena battling this illness and not to give in.

Your words in whatever form are music. A special music unique to you.

You, in fact, wrote part of this poem through your experience and inspiration by just being one of us.

Quite an achievement Rexz! We could all show this to our doctors. It expresses so well how much this condition reduces ordinary life to a struggle just to exist. And they need to accept that we have a right to a life, not a mere existence dictated on their terms. ‘Whose life is it anyway?!’
