It's a link to an article in The Times, written by Dr Mark Porter, which says
"Put simply, B12 deficiency is both common and underdiagnosed and the new Nice guidelines (which are still in draft form) are likely to lead to far more people being tested and treated for the condition. Might you be one of them?"
Unfortunately I don't subscribe to any online newspapers so cannot read the article but I thought it was good to actually have something raising awareness!

It would be good if doctors’ attitude changed but, somehow, I doubt it! People will need to fight and push to get B12 injections. Let’s hope I am wrong.
I have a very knowledgeable GP and when he took up a post in the surgery he told me a little while later that I can have as many B12 injections I felt I needed, so I have one every month now instead of every 3 months.
My Mother had this condition but I'm sure the withdrawal of her B12 injections caused her early demise.
Well that’s unusual to have such a a knowledgeable GP who actually understands the importance of B12 and the serious, even fatal, consequences of not treating people who are B12 deficient. Is he a new GP to your surgery? Lucky you and best wishes.
I'm so pleased that you are getting the treatment you need, but am very sorry that your mum didn't. It was the same with my dad - he declined rapidly once they withdrew the treatment on the schedule he needed.Thank you for letting us know there are some good GPs!
Thanks deniseinmilden, I don't subscribe either but I looked up Dr Mark Porter who wrote it, he's an NHS GP in Gloucesterhire and Health journalist for various outlets.
