ship compounded hydroxyb12 to CA?

Hello, does anyone know of a compounding pharmacy that ships hydroxyB12 to California? I can only get the commercial one with parabens here. I tried cyanoB12 and have some brain fog with it. Thank you!

Sorry I do not know of any compounding pharmacies. In uk we mainly have hydroxocobalamin injections in ampoules that do not have parabens. Only you can say but if its brain fog as in going blank, memory problems, confusion etc., then surely the cyanB12 has found neurological damage and is treating it . Many people feel worse before getting improvement.

Do you think that this may be because the Cyanob12 injection is converting to methylb12 more than the hydroxyb12 injection does? I felt so foggy and weird for about 8 hours after my first Cyano injection then I felt normal like I do with my hydroxy injections. It’ll be interesting to see how long it lasts compared to the hydroxy. I usually inject 2.5 ml hydroxy every 4 days and I injected 3.5 Cyano yesterday. 🤞

Hi WiskieLouie, this is a tricky issue as I recently discovered trying to find one for a relative in the US.

There are several compounding pharmacies that advertise openly, so I will list those below. HOWEVER, my relative had quite a headache trying to get her prescription transferred over from Walmart to these others. She normally gets the Actavis hydroxy, which is currently in shortage.

We ended up going 2 parallel routes:

1) We found a local PCAB accredited sterile pharmacy near her. We found on that made up a solution from hydroxy powder and put them in frozen syringes. She is ecstatic because they work much better than the actavis or the german ampoules I was sending her.

I mention this because I wonder if all the pharmacies in CA are refusing to do this? I tried to search online for the CA law you mention, but only found back protest sites and they all mention methylB12, though perhaps it's referring to all compounded B12. How awful for you all there

So just because I am nosy and curious - has this law actually been passed? Or are compounding pharmacies self-censoring? If the latter, you might have more luck with another one:

Go to achc.org/find-a-provider/ --> Under “Select Your Program”, choose PCAB Compounding Pharmacy. Then you can FILTER by “Select a service” choose 'PCAB Sterile Compounding'. You can also filter by “Country” and “State”. You may be able to find one that will make hydroxy for you.

If you are near another state eg OR or NV, you might find a local compounding pharmacy there...

2) Last week I also shipped some B12 from Germany using apohealth's 1-3 day express shpping. In the end, it was in transit in the US for less than 36 hours, though the total shipping time took a bit longer - they were "preparing the package" for about 2 days. But this was sent to an address in Washington DC, so CA will obviously take a bit longer.

apohealth.de/en/products/pa... Panpharma depot - hydroxy B12, € 10.22 for a box of 10. You can order maximum 9 boxes at a time, and express 1-3 day shipping with DHL was about $17. (Standard shipping 3-5 days is free but I wouldn't risk it now due to the heat).

If you order today, you have a chance of getting it by Friday or Saturday.

I do NOT like this option because of the excessive heat at the moment, but so far my other relative is using them and they seem to be OK. She put them in the fridge the moment they arrived, and they seem to be working.

You could always order a few boxes now and then when it's cooler, stock up for the rest of the year. There are other german sites where you can order more, up to 20 boxes. You can order from several pharmacies if you need more stock to get through the year. I will send you our file of sources by Chat message.

3) We didn't try this but you might: cyano needs to be injected more frequently. You can try doubling the frequency - so if you normally do weekly on hydroxy, try twice a week on cyano. Or if daily on hydroxy, twice a day on cyano. etc...

Hi! There is a compounding pharmacy in California that does all types of b12. I used to get from there until I found one in Phoenix. I use methylcombalamin. Call McGuff Compounding Pharmacy. They are located in Santa Ana, 877.444.1133. Wishing luck and a Happy Sunday.

what helped with my brain fog was high dosing b1 . High rising b1 requires a multi b vitamin and magnesium.

I take 250mg of benfomax from Pure

B-multi vitamin w/o b6

50 mg of P5P (B6) by Pure

4-800 Magnesium glucinate per day

That really helped with my brain fog.

Also needed a long time of frequent b12 injections and taking these vitamines to get rid of the brain fog.
