Over last 6 months approx 150 injections sc in tummy - it’s was already a battleground of scars and stretch marks but wondering when I should look for pastures new to self inject?
Is this like vegetable growing where crop rotation is recommended? Ie rotating around different injection sites advisable or can I stay in one area?
Just typing this puts my teeth on edge !! Hate needles 🥴
Thank you in advance 🤗🤗🤗

I rotate areas for injection just to give a fresh area of fat for absorption. I use a water soluble marker and put a dot to the right of the injection site. Then I wipe the dot off with the alcohol pad I used to prepare the injection site.
I use the same routine each time which helps with my putting off the injections. That way I can think about executing the routine rather than my aversion to injecting. I also tell my self something positive after completing the routine.
Sometimes I say that sucked but the results don't.
I identify with putting the injection off. Having said that moving from a 1”, 25g orange needle to a 0.5”, 30g grey needle has eased the dread considerably. Sounds like you have a good coping strategy. I injected in my thigh for the first time today - only pain was in my head! Didn’t realise I was holding my breath and tense till afterwards. But another milestone on the road to recovery! 🤗🤗🤗
that’s wonderful. I also notice it is much better injecting with 30G needle. I tend to bruise a lot more easily in my thighs than when I’d inject in my tummy. So be sure to put a cold pack on the intended injection area before you inject in your thighs, then wipe with an alcohol wipe. The cold seems to prevent bruising.
Good on you. I did not realize it till you wrote but I use the same technique I discovered when I was 10 as a baseball pitcher. Take a deep breath and shake out. Then inhale and jab on the out breath.
