Amount of B2

I was married to "inject 1 mg every other day until symptoms stop improving."

I seems to me I am not at all alone in needing more than that.

I am going with I do not want to inject too much nor of equal importance I do not want to inject not enough.

The only way I can see to do that is to increase and then reduce until symptoms return. Then I will know.

I am also going with if sometimes I need to inject more in times of stress than I am not injecting enough regularly.

Any comments will be greatly appreciated.

Every other day B12 1mg/1ml hydroxcobalamin should continue until no more improvement. Remember it takes time.

If you are early on in treatment i would personally stick with that regime for a period.

I got worse before better.

Obviously you know how you feel but

you've then got somewhere to go I.e daily if needed in the future.

The maintenence dose does differ ftom person to person.

What 'rings in my ears '

Is one neurologist said there is no quick fix.

Ive had an extra b12 1ml/mg injection when i had covid and a flu virus .

Hope you find a way that suits you.

Do check iron, ferritin ,vit D ,folate ,and other vits okay.

yes I need more but I believe that is because I exercise. I do two shots, on in the morning and one at night. 2mg/ day. Best if they are broken up or they could just end up being peed out.

Thank you so much for your reply. I am going to repost my question and ask if any one but me is taking more than one mg every other day.

Seems likely to me if taking more B12 were beneficial you're not going to find any research to support that. Which does not mean it is a good practice just said it would not be known.

I am finding the more physical activity I do the more B12 my body requires.

I take a lozange 1 mg hydroxocobalamin twice a day and am considering 1.5 mg twice a day.

I top up with the BetterYou spray, sometimes. As it’s methyl b12 and works quicker. Definitely helped me after surgery last October did it for around three months. Have stopped it now , as a routine. Now just if I feel I need a boost.

I also exercise but for me weekly seems to cover it. I know someone though that has to inject daily. I noticed when I was relying on the NHS for the monthly injections I felt better when I was injured and couldn’t exercise so activity does seem to increase your need but as Nackapan said, it can get worse before improving and it was like my body was slowly being repaired for two years at least.

theb12society.com/treatment. 1mg EOD until symptoms improve is the way to go as per NICE guidelines. Also Co factors ARE essential to help with the healing process.
