I have PA so there is a strong chance my sister may have it. She is much younger than me and doesn't have any physical symptoms although she is a very anxious person. She had no trouble conceiving but had several miscarriages and then a pregnancy that had to be terminated because the baby had anencephaly (no brain). All very traumatic. This was before I knew about PA and B12D.
She eventually had a health baby. But before she got pregnant she was given B12 injections. When I discovered I had PA everything clicked. I tried to tell her about PA but she doesn't want to know.
Hi,
I don't have a confirmed PA diagnosis but looking back to when I had my children I was already showing mild signs of B12 deficiency.
I didn't have any issues getting pregnant but have read articles suggesting that B12 deficiency may affect fertility.

PAS (Pernicious Anaemia Society) have a leaflet
"Vitamin B12 Deficiency in Pregnancy and Newborns Leaflet"

That leaflet is only available to PAS members.
PAS membership is separate to membership of this forum.
Yes. It can be due to high levels of homocysteine. If it is, high enough levels of B12 from regular, frequent injections, with folate and supporting supplements can fix the problem.
Best wishes
