How B12 affects newborns

Are there any women here who were injecting themselves a lot before pregnancy and how did it affect their newborns?

Hello, I had 3 healthy babies. I SI 2x a week and have been for a long time. No health issues whatsoever over here.

I think with the first I injected less often, but I don't see a difference between my kids.

Have you noticed that they cried less than other newborns during the first 6 months of their life?

I'm not sure that has anything to do with just B12. So I breastfed all my kids and almost never put them down. I wrapped them to my body while I was up and about. I also did not practice the modern day practice of passing the baby off. Everyone I know said all my babies were such good babies; that I was lucky, but in realty I think it was because they rarely had the chance of needing anything. I was very attentive to their basic feeding and bonding needs. Breastmilk and snuggling really are a cure all for a baby.

What an interesting question. I have no children and don't SI/have injections, so shouldn't really be commenting. I do remember reading in Dr Chandy's book that he considers B12 as important as folate for pregnancy. I've noticed in my own family that all of the people who developed a significant B12D or PA were the second or subsequent children, never the first (for the 6 generations that we know about), which would make you think that the useage of B12 for pregnancy with the first child was sufficiently draining on resources of an already (genetically?) B12- borderline mother to affect/alter DNA methylation not only for her, but for the subsequent child/ren. The genetic B12 vulnerability is still there in the first child, but only manifests more weakly and when much older or under considerable extra stress. Cheers
