Well I’m a bit confused by the article actually . Under the title “IS TAKING HIGH DOSES OF B12 HELPFUL OR HARMFUL ?” is written —

“ Since B12 is a water- soluble vitamin , it’s generally considered safe even at high doses”. Now this implies that all water soluble vitamins are safe at high dosage “, which we know is not the case. So caution when taking other water-soluble vitamins other than B12 .

It really does not convince me that there is good evidence that B12 does cause harm at high doses . It is not scientifically presented . It does not make it clear what an “excessively high dosage “ is .

“ There is some evidence suggesting that” —— is not a good way to persuade me to take it seriously .

“ Megadoses “( What is a megadose?). “ of this vitamin are commonly used safely and effectively to treat B12 deficiency “ This is the conclusion after maintaining that mega doses can cause harm ! So it’s confusing .

yes I was concerned about them saying about all B vitamins are water soluble. I am of the opinion only B12 when needed for myelin sheeth and nerves are good well above daily requirements. I have also been reading on Myelin regeneration and good fats , REM Sleep, zinc vit.C and of course B12. So we are on work in progress and see how it goes.Nothing to drastic and all in moderation.

I think i found the right article(s). There seems to be several articles in one if your keep scrolling. Do you think it was geared more toward vegetarian b22 deficiency or people who take it for weight loss? There was some info in there about injecting, but it seemed to be vegetarian related. When i was looking for drops or sprays, it was all marketed for weight loss. They sure don't have a problem promoting daily mega b12 doses for weight loss but not for saving our lives. Something seems wrong about that. But in a way, if the weights loss industry can prove daily injections are safe, it could be good for us too.

to be quite honest, you read these reports and each and everything is down to there personal opinion. We are all different and have to find our own way. A lot goes down to age (the older we get the less ability to absorb nutrients and far less able to rebound quicker). Which B12 is best suitable for us. How many of the doctors or specialists have the condition that can confidenting say this that whatever. We all have different diets, stress levels, family and doctors that have one approach and that is solely based on figures. Even in this country each trust have different guidelines, nothing make sense.

For sure the longer you have the dificency the rockier the journey back to health. Pharmaceutical drugs that hinder absorbtion given out willy nilly. We just have to find what suits us best.

It is not as though we are the worried well. (Who Doctors prefer to deal with)

Another is dealing with the medical profession, we ask ourselves should we be giving information to educate them ? Some are open to it and some are quite arrogant (how dare you question me of my ability I am your Doctor) Nobody wants to be walking on eggshells and that is why we are all here trying to help ourselves.

Sleepybunny posted on some research in Scotland and 39% of people self inject, that is a significant figure and clearly an Indication of how misunderstood B12 is !!
