is anyone familiar with this pharmacy?

Does anybody know anything about this company and is this the right hydroxocobalamin that I need? Right now I am buying Cynocobalamin from Canada but I've been reading that hydro lasts longer and is just better?.

Do I inject under skin or into muscle? Is it stable? Do I need to refrigerate?

Thank you for any help.

Some Hydroxy you need to refrigerate, some not ( I've had both). Its unclear from the site whether this one requires refrigeration or not. This one is labeled "for intramuscular injection only" although I'm not sure what about the formulation would make it unsuitable for subcutaneous. I do think intramuscular is supposed to be somewhat more effective though? Open to correction on that.

Thank you technoid. I wasn't sure if hydroxocobalamin only came as intramuscular. I just want to get the best one for me. But I don't know where to get it. This place is in the United States so I thought maybe I could get this, but I've never self-injected intermuscularly. Is this a month supply?

If you need guidance on "how to" for intramuscular injections, I think one of the admins or Wedgewood has the best essay that breaks it all down for you, im sure they'll post it here for you if you can't locate in buried in the threads :)

This pdf from the pinned post is a good start on the process : cdn.ps.emap.com/wp-content/...

I also wrote to the company and asked them some questions.

That was great info. that was pretty much all I need. But also, is there any allergic reactions I have to watch for or anything else I need to know? Is this what most of you all use?

Is it your first time injecting intramuscular, or first time injecting hydroxocobalamin?

TBH if either, I would do so under medical supervision, if possible, just in case. There is an outside chance of allergic reaction, which is rare, but best to be safe and just have a nurse/doctor close by for the injection and 20 mins afterwards. This is just a safety precaution, in all likelihood you will have no issues.

Afterwards you can proceed under your own steam.

Both. Maybe I should just stick with Cynocobalamin? I heard some people say it didn't last or after a while stopped working. I just want to do what I can to help myself in the best way. I don't have a doc anymore for this.

If Cyanocobalamin is working for you, then no particular reason to switch up. Clive (another forum member) has been on Cyanocobalamin afaik for many decades and its not done him any harm at all. Feel free to try Hydroxocobalamin if you want to see if you respond better to it, I'm just advising to take some precautions "just in case".

I don't know of any physiological mechanism by which it would "stop working" either.

I think I will stick with this for now. It is easier. And I don't know enough about this yet. I am too new. I feel safe like I am. Thanks so much for letting me talk this out with you.

I use single use 1mg/ml hydroxcobalamin I have subcutaneous b12 injections and IM.

Initially all IM.

I've had both sc and IM for 11/2 Years now .

Kept a log.

Found subtle differences at times.

I'm always hoping an IM one will ladt longer .

For me it doesn't

Can go in alot quicker sometimes a good thing sometimes a negative thing.

Some have seemingly no effect .

That happens for me with both methods.

No matter what type of Cobalamin you inject, the safest way to administer it domestically is to use single use ampoules , not multi-use vials .

Thank you Wedgewood. That is what I'm doing now so I will stick with that. Thanks so much

Thanks Nackapan, I can't seem to find the subcutaneous hydrox only cyno. That can be shipped to US. I guess if there isn't that much difference, I will just stick with cyno. So much to learn! 😳

most of what you read about B12 is based on averages but without actually pointing out that there are considerable personal variations that mean eg that for some people hydroxo lasts longer than cyano. If the formulation is suspended in saline then it should be okay for subcutaneous use. There have been instances where subcutaneous use of oil based injections has resulted in necrosis (tissue around the injection site dying) but I am not aware of any reports of this happening with saline suspended injections.

Thank you Gambit62. Right, I think cyanocobalamin is working for me so I'll just stick with it. I feel safe with it.
