I got my results I have a 1 on 0-1.1 scale for intrinsic factor. Over 1.1 is a positive result. Since 1 is borderline and the test is 50% false negative should I assume I have pernicious? I have all symptoms.

The test result is inconclusive - that is the only conclusion you can draw from the test itself.#However, PA is the most likely cause of B12 absorption problems so in the absence of indicators of other conditions - eg crohn's, - its fair to assume you have PA.

Thank you Gambit! I can’t eat anymore without urge to vomit. Something is wrong with stomach and then anemia.
