Has any one else noticed how ruff your GP is some times with your injections I'm not afraid of needless but since getting more confident I never ever hurt myself but I've had a sore muscle since my GP whooped it in felt like a bolting horse
Are we better : Has any one else... - Pernicious Anaemi...
Are we better
Absolutely agree ! That’s why I’m so glad to self-inject . Then I have no pain at all ! I inject I.M. with a fine needle , and very slowly . Honestly I don’t even get a twinge .
Do you tense up when having injection ?Best to let the arm relax and let it go floppy.
Funny but I once asked a nurse how they injected someone with really big muscles.... her reply was like a javelin..... that was the only way they could penetrate the muscle ! Ouch !
I'm amazed a G.p did it!! The HCA seems really good at them.
Nurses hit snd miss in my experience.
Some really good technique.
Some awful.
One r times caused so much pain avoided her completely after that.
She was te one that said I was lucky to get them on the NHS!
She paid £40 for one monthly at a beauty clinic!!
Not b12 deficient. Says it all....
.
Ask for it to be done slowly
See if another HCA nurse can do it. ?
I've had terrible bruises and pain at times
Insult to injury.
Saying that earn I actually get one!! It's been really good recently.
A few tines wondering if id actually had it !
I had a different nurse than usual do mine last week and I've a huge bruise. She was very apologetic and flustered when I bled, poor girl. The nurses at my surgery have recently been told to inject the B12 slowly, which is nice. It still hurts more than doing it myself though.
My arm was aching for two week after and when I lift things think she wen in to fast.... Which b12 is the best for recovery
I have my injections in the upper buttock as its less sensitive. I think just requesting this has reminded them to be a little gentler as when they see the request on my notes, it always prompts a conversation on the discomfort caused by the intra muscular injection.
